Salient Facilities

At present, SIDA is spread on 508 acres of Land. It stretches for 17 KM on the both sides of the Jaunpur – Allahabad state highway no.36 and is equipped with all the facilities to boost industrial growth.

  • Electricity – An independent 33/11 KV electricity substation is already established in this area. In order to facilitate the efficiency of this sub-station, a new 18 Km long electricity line has already been established which stretches from Machlishahar to Satharia and also a new 5 Km long electricity line has already been established which stretches from Unki to Satharia with 24 hours Electricity Supply Facilities. Within, the authority area, industrialists get an uninterrupted power backup.
  • Street lights – street lights and sodium lights have been put up on all the byroads and crossroads in the industrial area .The Jaunpur- Allahabad highway, on which this authority is situated, is properly lit with the street light stretching over 1.5 Kms.
  • Roads- The total stretch of roads within the SIDA area is 17 Kms. Road no. 1,2 and 3 have been prepared using the hot mix plant. A proposal has been given to use the same method to prepare the other roads according to the priority.
  • Telecommunication- A telephone exchange with 2 machines of 256 lines capacity is established in the industrial estate.
  • Drinking water- The entire SIDA area has adequate water supply through a 800 KI overhead tank.
  • Drainage System- Within the authority area, an adequated drainage system is already in place to do away with the dirty water from the industries and the rain water.
  • Bank- An SBI branch has been setup in the authority area. Industrialists are provided financial assistance from the Mungrabadshahpur branch of UBI as well.
  • Post office- An extension branch of Mungra Badshahpur post office is functional in this area.
  • Police Chowki- From the security point of view,a police chowki has been set up in the industrial area.
  • Fire Station- Effort is on to set up a fire station in the industrial area. Very soon ,the authority will have its own fire station.
  • Education- Three schools including one inter college are functioning heae.
  • Clean environment- In order to keep the environment pollution free, an attractive park has been set up on 2 acres of land. All the industrial unit and residential units are encouraged to undertake the plantation drive for a balanced and clean environment. Recently authority has undertaken plantation drive on a big scale and around 5000 plants have been planted.
  • Petrol pump- The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.has set up a petrol pump on the Jaunpur- Allahabad state highway in the industrial area.
  • Shopping complex- Shopping complex- on the demand of the industrialists land has been allotted to for shopping complex. Two shopping complex are established from where items for daily need can be obtained.
  • AIIM- The Government has given approved under the AIIM Scheme for upgradation of SIDA Indusrial Area.
